ABOUT ME
My Story
I am a US Air Force veteran, STEM professional, wife, and mom of 3. Raised in a small town in rural Illinois, I grew up in a working class family. My father worked in mining for 45 years and has been preaching for 25. My mother owned and operated a small business for many years and now works at a local bank near my hometown.
Following in the footsteps of many of my family members, I enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 17. As eager as I was to serve our country, I also knew that the Air Force would afford me opportunities that I would not have otherwise had access to. The United States Air Force allowed me to combine my passion for technology with my desire to serve.
I met my husband Antoan while we were both stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base 15 years ago. We fell in love with each other and Tucson, and when we separated from the Air Force we made a home here and started our family.
I have had the privilege of serving as the City of Tucson Ward 4 Councilwoman since 2019.
I worked in the information technology profession for over 20 years. In 2022, I made the jump from supporting technology and projects to supporting the people that make things happen inside of organizations. I now help leaders as an Executive & Leadership coach, and as a Senior Account Executive at The Arbinger Institute.
I used the GI bill to earn my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with a minor in Entrepreneurship/Small Business Management and an MBA in IT Management, with honors.
I was a member of the Greater Tucson Leadership Class of 2017 and am a Flinn-Brown Fellow from the 2018 cohort.
